‘Hidden Gem’

Hidden Gem is a celebration of colour, nature, and quiet beauty. In this piece, I wanted to create a vibrant wild garden overflowing with rich pinks, glowing oranges, deep purples, and warm yellows. Amongst the colourful flowers and ornamental thistle plants sits a small gold crest bird - peaceful, still, and almost hidden within the movement of the painting.
I love the idea that even in the boldest and busiest places, there can be moments of calm waiting to be discovered. The little bird quietly nestled amongst the blooms feels like a secret treasure, inviting the viewer to pause and look a little closer.
