"Through The Hedgerow", Acrylic Painting on board, 15" x 19"

£400.00

"Through The Hedgerow", Acrylic Painting on board, Original Acrylic Painting on board, Original Artwork by Kay Stone Artwork, 15” x 19”, Framed.

‘Through the Hedgerow’ is an acrylic painting inspired by that quiet moment of looking beyond the edge of something wild and discovering what lies on the other side.

In this piece, I used a palette knife to build up the hedgerow in layers of rich oranges, greens, yellows and earthy browns. I love how the palette knife allows the paint to sit thickly on the surface, creating texture and movement that feels alive and natural. The colours blend and overlap in an expressive way, giving the impression of foliage growing freely and untamed.

Through the gaps in the hedgerow, you can see a green field stretching out in the distance. I wanted the viewer to feel drawn into the hedgerow - almost as if they are gently parting the branches to catch a glimpse of the open countryside beyond. The contrast between the textured foreground and the calmer field creates a sense of depth and quiet discovery.

This painting is about perspective, curiosity, and the simple beauty found when you take a moment to look a little closer.
